PinURL.To Privacy Policy

We built this policy to explain what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Your Privacy, Our Priority

PinURL.To only collects the data we need to run a reliable link platform. You can export, delete, or update most data anytime.

Enterprise teams can request our Data Processing Addendum or regional privacy terms by emailing privacy@pinurl.to.

1. Who We Are

PinURL.To is operated by HL ENTERTAINMENT LLC (collectively referred to as PinURL, we, us, or our). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you create shortened links, view analytics, or otherwise interact with the PinURL.To platform.

This Policy works together with our Terms of Service. By using PinURL.To you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue the Services.

2. The Data We Collect

Some of this information is provided directly by you, some is automatically collected via cookies or similar technologies, and some is supplied by trusted third parties (for example, a service that verifies billing addresses).

Depending on how you use the platform, we may collect:

  • Account data such as your name, email, password (hashed), profile photo, and team affiliation.
  • Billing data, including payment method details processed securely by our payment partners, VAT or tax IDs, and billing addresses.
  • Usage data generated when you create links, manage domains, configure redirects, or access analytics dashboards.
  • Technical data such as device identifiers, IP address, browser type/version, language, and cookies that help us keep sessions secure.
  • Link interaction data that records when someone clicks or previews a PinURL.To link, along with metadata like referrer, approximate location, device type, and timestamps.

3. How We Use the Data

We process personal data for legitimate business purposes, including to provide and optimize the Services, analyze performance, secure our infrastructure, prevent abuse, personalize experiences, and communicate with you about your account.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests (such as improving features and preventing fraud), and consent where required.

Example uses of your information:

  • Authenticating you and Authorized Users.
  • Showing analytics for links you created.
  • Processing payments and sending invoices.
  • Responding to support tickets or product feedback.
  • Sending service announcements, onboarding resources, or marketing messages (you may opt out anytime).
  • Monitoring and blocking malicious links, spam, or abuse.

4. When We Act as a Controller or Processor

When we collect data for our own business operations (like running the website, billing, or marketing), PinURL.To is the data controller.

When you use our Services to collect data about visitors to your links, you are the controller and PinURL.To acts as your processor. Our Data Processing Addendum is available upon request and applies when required by law.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only when necessary and with parties that follow comparable safeguards.

We may share personal data with:

  • Service providers that host infrastructure, provide analytics, process payments, detect fraud, or deliver customer support.
  • Other users or workspace members when collaboration features are enabled.
  • Domain registrars or DNS partners when you connect custom domains.
  • Advertising or marketing vendors, subject to your consent and applicable opt-out rights.
  • Authorities or legal counsel when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • Potential acquirers in the context of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality obligations.

6. Cookies, Tracking, and Choices

We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to remember preferences, keep you signed in, measure link performance, and personalize content. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; however, disabling them may impact site functionality.

Some browsers send Do Not Track signals. Because no standard exists, we may not respond to these signals. You may opt out of certain ad network cookies through industry tools like the NAI, DAA, or EDAA.

7. Data Subject Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information; to receive a copy of your data; to object to certain processing; or to withdraw consent.

You can exercise many of these rights directly in your account settings. For additional requests, contact privacy@pinurl.to and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

8. Data Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as needed to deliver the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When your account is closed, we either delete personal data or de-identify it, unless retention is legally required.

9. Security

We use technical and organizational measures-such as encryption at rest, HTTPS everywhere, role-based access, and auditing-to protect your information. No system is entirely secure, so you are responsible for maintaining strong passwords, enabling multi-factor authentication, and notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.

10. International Transfers

PinURL.To is headquartered in the United States, and we may process data in other locations where we or our vendors operate. When transferring data internationally, we rely on mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other safeguards permitted by applicable law.

11. Marketing Preferences

We love sharing roadmap updates and tips, but you control how often we contact you. Manage your email preferences through the unsubscribe links in our messages or inside your user profile. Transactional messages (like password resets or billing notices) will still be delivered.

12. Children's Data

PinURL.To is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact privacy@pinurl.to so we can investigate and delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new regulations or product changes. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date and, when required, notify you through email or in-app messages.
